Use the old style method where you bleed down the air pressure until it trips a warning.

Follow the directions in the manual worked for me, though it took me 3 tries. I got a set of 18" wheels with snow tires and new sensors. If the car didn't pick up the sensors after you did the relearn you would have a - in place of the numbers.

Much depends on rim depth. My sensors are so far in we picked up the car next to us, nothing and when we thought we had it right the Camaro got confused in my garage and screwed up both the Camaro and G8 TPM systems requiring both be reprogrammed back at Witt Buick. If the new wheels have deeper rims extra care may be required to associate the TPM sensors.

I did this yesterday with 2 new front wheels. Very easy procedure. Just follow the manual. Did it the 1st time and it worked fine.

Is there a way to disable TPM?

Cost on these sensors by the way?

If you turn them off I am not ure if it impacts any of the other systems (abs, stability, traction, etc...). Maybe a GM ASE or an HP Tuners person can chime in.

My 2 rear sensors are all screwed up. Left reads 30 right reads 41. I have 36 in all 4 and check it manually. I just ignore them now.

i did get them to work i never found in the manual where is says how to do it i just put it in relearn mode then started letting air out of each tire until the horn would blow once all 4 were done i refilled the tires then chcked with a hand gauge and the cars gauge was spot on not like my origional tires that read one thing and the car said something else

Doc and you are both correct. There is an update, but that didn't work with my deep set wheels. The bleed down did work. It will depend on the location of the sensor in terms of how deep it is behind the wheel center.

What order did you do them in? That's how the computer knows which one is which. When you start the relearn process, it "listens" first for the driver's front tire and learns it, then you do passenger front, then passenger rear and finally driver's rear. If you did a different order, then it thinks your tires are in different places on the car. According to the manual, you have 5 minutes to get the first one and 2 minutes for the others with a total time limit of 10 minutes.

When I put a set of factory 19" wheels & tires on my 2LT RS, I had to relearn the sensors. Some took a lot of airing-out before the horn honked (passenger rear) and some were almost right away (passenger front and driver rear).

Just installed 20 inch forged CCW wheels, 10" wide front and 11" in back. Pirelli 275's and 305's in back. CCW made the wheels using the future Z-28 offsets. There is no rubbing or sticking out of the fender lip. I did the owners manual relearn procedure in about two minutes total. You only need to let out 2 to 3 psi for it to learn which tire to recognize. Going clockwise from front left first is very important.
