Finally a 5th Gen Owner, SGM 2SS/RS - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

From the shunt in the trunk to Mr. Settlemire’s recent move within GM, I have been following the 5th generation Camaro since word got out in 2002 that the final 4th gens were rolling through the assembly line. Its great to have a passion in life, and mine happened to be the F-Body.

I loved seeing the different spy shots as the Camaro become more of a reality and less of a concept. I loved reading the stories of board members ordering theirs months before they were being built. I would have been there with them but it just wasn’t the right time.

Well the right time for me has finally come to join the 5th gen crowd and I got in touch with Tom Henry and began the process of preparing a Synergy Green 2SS/RS 6 speed manual to be delivered to my house. We decided on pearl white tri-coat rally stripes and I couldn’t be happier. I was really disappointed when I didn’t jump on a deal earlier in the year on a ABM 2SS but it didn’t feel right and I am really glad I waited.

As you can see from the pics I am used to silvers and pewters that blend in to the surroundings, the opposite of this new synergy green.

The car couldn’t have been delivered at a more exciting time in my life, one week before I said my vows. Here are some pictures from the day of the wedding and from our trip to the Finger Lakes. The wedding party went to the reception in my three cars, my father’s Charger, and my cousins 5th Gen. Needless to say we turned some heads.

Hawk, CONGRATS...and I LOVE the Color Combo you got!! oh and BTW, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's and wive's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

To this day, the styling on the 4th Gen Trans Am still looks fresh. Your SGM is badass, I love the stripes.
