What exhaust mods for a dual mode exhaust?
Just wondering. If I get a 1LE with NPP. What type of headers and mid pipe would work best for it?
Thanks |

Pretty much whatever your budget allows, I know of no restrictions because of it.

I'm exploring the same for my LS3 vert with NPP, and I'm probably more concerned about getting it TOO loud than you.
One well respected tuner here has advised me to do exactly what Chase just advised: leave the OE mid-pipe (H pipe) in place. He claimed it reduces drone compared to the aftermarket 3" X pipes. Not to mention, a big cost savings, especially on the vert where bracing interference becomes an issue.

Lately there have been quite a few threads about NPP with headers and getting the desired sound level. Do a quick search and I am sure you will find enough posts from members citing their experiences to give you the answers you are looking for.

I've done the search and yes, there are many interesting threads. But, it doesn't hurt anything for the OP to start a new one with his specific application and concerns. You may not care anymore, but I enjoy seeing them and reading them to see the latest input from dealers, manufacturers and end users.

You are right, it doesnt hurt at all. If I didnt care I wouldn't read or post replies. Not sure why you are jumping to conclusions. I informed OP that there are some recent posts that will also help him out. He wont be shocked to see that MANY posts are from me as I was in this boat 3 weeks ago. I wanted my post to be a heads up to whats been discussed as I was trying to be helpful. Didn't mean for my post to sound as if he isnt allowed to post, and apologies to the OP if he thought that. Good luck OP, whatever you choose you will be happy with the end result....ask me how I know.
