Good cold morning crew. It is 14 degrees here this morning & feels like 4. It will not get above 26 all day. Tomorrow will warm up a bit before it gets much colder on Monday when we will have the coldest temps in 3 0r 4 years. I hope all our friends up north are safe & warm. I just cannot even imagine those bitter, bitter cold temps up there. Mega Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!

I better get myself going. I will definately hae to let Pepper warm up some. I guess there will be more issues to try to figure out with the changes at work. Thank goodness it is FRIDAY!!!!!!

When I mentioned in the 'Gym' thread that I really need to get back on a weightlifting program, this wasn't exactly what I had in mind. Fortunately it was mostly light powdery stuff, and a heavy shirt plus a good hoodie was more than enough for the mid-teens temperature.

Wife's Subie got dug out first so I could get her to work - the street wasn't plowed at the time. My car is still buried in front of it, and I'll get to that after I finish my coffee and cookies. The other two cars will get cleaned off when I feel like getting to them, as they're more or less "spare cars" now (Maxima far left and Mazda 626). The big empty space in the front is where our daughter's Dart parks, but our son-in-law is off to dig his Mom out and he took the 8 y/o granddaughter with him (no school . . . duh).

I hope those further north than us a few miles east of Philly didn't get pounded too much harder. Shoveling this stuff does get old even when it isn't wet or all that heavy.

I could not live there. Once upon a time, when I was little we used to get some pretty deep snows here. I don't miss it. Now they are calling for snow Sunday night. Bring it! SNOW DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To alter the line from Fried Green Tomatos "I'm older and I have more days off!" It will be so bitterly cold that salt won't work. the ground is already frozen. So whatever we get will stick to everything it touches. No need risking life & limb venturing out on a 37 mile treck over high hills & ridges and risk getting stuck out in those dangerous temps.

Have a good weekend crew. Stay safe & warm.

Good morning. Today is being billed locally as the day to prepare for the great deep freeze; the coldest temps in a decade. It will be prefaced by 1-6 in of snow which is also the most snow we have had in a while. We shall see. Snow is pretty hard to predict around here. Have a great Saturday & again, stay safe & warm.

That is nice. While we prepare for the deep freeze! I filled up Ruby's tank & we tried out the garage heater. I visited my dad today so we don't even have to stick our heads out into the bitter cold tomorrow. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Okay, relatively mild weather will be left behind as we sleep and bitter cold invades tomorrow. Nighty night crew. Sleep tight!
