I remember when CD's came out & all the audiophiles complained it didn't have the "warm" sound of vinyl. Same argument for transistors vs. tubes. There's ALWAYS someone saying new technology isn't as good as the old technology. LOL

As far as the touchscreen, I love the availability of built-in NAV & other options, I just wish the bezel was smaller/flatter. It looks like something they slapped together & rushed to get it into the car for 2013.

Maybe the 2014 will have nicer trim?

It doesn't have it anymore. Now, when you get in your car, you can't get out until the car wants you to.

I am so glad I bought my car in 2010 I hate that steering wheel and even the nav unit is ugly. Looks so out of place.

Maybe..........But I thank God I was born when I was. I still feel the "art" and structure of a good song should always be solid. Today's music is one long beat and rambling, gives you no peace or time to ponder lyrics. Probably why too many people do not stop and think about anything anymore. We live in self indulgent, selfish times where everyone gets over on everyone else to "get theirs"....Sad

OK back to the subject.........the hideous new stereo from GM......

We got a few 2013 Camaros in and I thought I would snap some pics and post them for you guys to see.

Again, I don't know if anyone posted pics, but here they are. It does look pretty good. My only complaint is the lack of a CD player. I love my CDs!!!

What do you guys think?

Shawn

Yeah, I'm not crazy about the looks of this, or the 2013 wheels, or the 2012 steering wheel, but I understand why GM makes these changes, How many cars do you think they sell if they never changed anything? Most of these changes are in response to complaints that they've received. Magazines and customers ragged on them about the steering wheel, shift knob, and lack of navigation. I don't think anybody was complaining about the wheels but I'd say GM thought it was time for a change and wheels are cheaper and easier to change than other aspects of the car. How do you think every one is going to react when the Gen 6 arrives? Even if it's as big a hit as the Gen 5, a lot of people are going to hate it. The good new is that, it's everybody’s love of the 5th Gen that makes them criticize every little change. If nobody liked these cars, nobody would notice.

I personally hate digital navigation. It just doesn't have the same warm feel of that old paper map....

Back in my day, we couldn't afford a whopper.

We also had to walk to school in freezing snow, uphill both ways.

Kids today... with these crazy "Camaros"... sheesh.

Yea available to order means its not out yet...... I'm sure they are taking orders for it now, but it's also on constraint so the car will not be built till it comes off and who knows when that will be... I was simplly saying the dealer was saying this was nav and it's clearly not....
