My control module went out at about 5,500 miles. No tow hooks so I had to drive it onto the rollback myself. Whew! That was interesting!

So was there a DTC code set? What code? Your description of the problem is very vague.

Transmission Control Module
I had a solenoid shorting in my transmission control module. After replacement the car has been running well. It had 14000 miles on it when it went out. The car was hard shiffting from second to third (automatic) and surging in traffic when having to go a constant speed. The hard shift would only come when you were at 1/4 throttle or less and usually at around 22 mph.
TCM replaced... all ok ...car was down for two days. Hope all works out for you.

Very sorry to hear about your solenoid valve and control module failure. I understand the displeasure that you're feeling. I can't tell from your posts whether the vehicle is currently at the dealer for an official diagnosis. If not, feel free to contact me privately and I'll assist with getting that process started. Kind regards, William R. Chevrolet Customer Care |
