Good idea, even though sitting in my garage drinking with a pile of pieces of my old interior is just kind of pathetic.

LS7 block, some ARH stuff arriving, and the some structural support going in for the 10 point cage.

Things are starting to come together so I suspect progress will be faster in the coming week.

Stuff happening bigtime today on all fronts. The NASCAR+ spec 10-point cage being fabbed up and installed. There is obviously a ton of expertise at work here.

Exciting to see it happen. I feel like driving down to visit this weekend but it's a 3 hour trip one way to Martinsville for me...

More roll bar fab up, positioning of dry sump tank in trunk, spare metal cut out. Front windshield removed to open up dash for front bars (and to extract evap unit, since there is no more compressor). Making great progress!

which dry sump is that? have your guys heard of ARE? i had a dude give me a booklet on ARE. he said they were the poop but there are so many options. the one on the Z28 is in the front of the engine up high.
looking good pete. any specs or details on the engine? my crate engine seems fine. its got more torque than stock for sure. i think me getting the balance right and getting good rubber fixed my lead brick. its so much fun to drive now. keep the pics going. im reading it even when i dont write anything.
that bar looks good. i like that it goes further back so it stiffens the rear area. thats got to help the suspension too.

The dry sump pan is from Daley, and the tank is from Peterson Fluid Systems. Have not heard about ARE, sorry...

Right now we are waiting for a bunch of parts to still come in (heads, pistons). Boy some suppliers take a long time to ship. No specs yet but can't wait till everything is here and they get it built and on a dyno. Arrington has both an engine dyno and a chassis dyno, so it will be cool to see how many HP it actually makes at the crank vs. at the wheels.

Yep this is going to be one stiff car when it is done. Pete ordered a bunch of Z28 / 1LE suspension parts (front hubs, sways, radius arm, etc) so I am hoping for some nice improvements in handling too.

Dash - Going, going, gone. It'll be back (most of it) but have to mount the front bars for the cage first.

Never run cats on a road track. They will get super hot. Forced induction makes it worse as well
