Geez rolnson, you win $500 and now you need help spending it? I gave you a "GREAT" suggestion but seriously I would get the shifter.

I think I got it now...after reading it twice...in which case, my vote would go for getting the shifter, then saving up another $400 to get the air intake from Fastlane...especially since you are here in Houston.

Given the minimal gains seen with the CAI kits, I'm thinking the Hurst shifter is the better choice right now too. I know that Fastlane realizes the market potential for V6 parts so I think waiting to see what they put together for the V6 would be the best thing to do.

So far, scrming's been the best source of data produced from actual testing, for us all. For that, we are very thankful.
I think all I'm saying here is that the people designing these aftermarket parts have not yet figured out how to make their modifications produce more power, or better fuel economy, or whatever they are shooting for. I'm sure they are testing the mods, but my conjecture is that they are not getting the results they want... yet or we'd be hearing all about it. Again, I could be completely wrong on this and am just throwing my two cents out there. In the mean time, it is not wrong to want an exhaust system or a CAI or whatever mod for it's cosmetic appeal, for the improvement in the way the car sounds, or whatever makes us happy. |

CAI. The stock shifter works well enough and the CAI is going to add some power and look better under the hood than the stock unit.

Even on your V6 you'll see a tremendous increase in performance with a catback/CAI combo. |
