I was at Cfest in Texas this year and heard lots of people talking how no one was sticking around for activities. I noticed lots of people going down to the board walk in Kema and hanging out with other groups not participating in actual Cfest events. I could only imagine how it would be in Vegas. To many distractions if you ask me...

I personally don't care too much where it is since God willing I will make it a priority to go. But I do ask that we have one main hotel large enough to handle most of the attendees and then another overflow if necessary. That makes the event so much funner than having 4 or 5 different hotels.
Westward (California) however may be nice, that is if they don't give us too much crap about being "street legal".

I just don't see that as a reasonable. The areas that are being considered do not have any hotels that could potentially hold over 500 people. It's not like other things are going on in these cities, like business travel or families on vacations or passing through. Or hotels that already have people booked for that weekend.
It would be nice, but I just don't see that happening. There will always be a "host" hotel that can hold the first-come people that will be attending. Overflows will be available as needed. |

I think what he means is, like in texas, there really wasn't a host hotel, like there was for the previous fests.

That was the only thing I did not like about the last fest. I liked being at one big ass hotel

"If the online rate does not beat what I have posted then call direct. Host SOLD OUT THURSDAY SpringHill Suites by Marriott 5169 I-10 East Baytown TX 77521 866-599-6674 ($229) " Yes, there were plenty of hotels in the area, but the host hotel, and parking lot party was Springhill Suites. |

I thought the parking lot party was across the highway, in a mall parking lot.
