For one, changing the design for a low volume car increases the price and the parts used on the Z/28 aren't cheap.

Front page on "getting to know your car" in the Z28 manual states, "it is recommended that a complete bowel movement be completed before usage of vehicle; performance numbers will drastically increase..."

GM has shown they're serious. Very serious.

A. Yes in the prototype model there is a blacked out panel. B. There is no need for fog lights on this car.

I want to know what happens if you stick a CD into the slot. Does it just fall behind the dash?

I laugh at threads like this. People need to realize the Z/28 got its price tag (assuming it will be $60K+) from the drivetrain, suspension, wheels/tires, brakes, etc. If people are concerned about not having air conditioning/fog lights/tire inflator kit/etc on a $60K+ car, the Z/28 is obviously not for them.

Check out Slick Rick's link in post 5. THIS new Z/28 is a badass piece of machinery.

...and that's the trick. Because back in the day, hardly anybody had that stuff. Options cost alot, and they were far and few between. Power door locks, windows, AND a/c?. I never saw it or experienced it....nor did many others. Performance was beyond parallel over convenience, creature comforts or ergonomics. Those words did not exist in the lexicon.
