Gave up on waiving. 1 out of 30 waive back. Tired of looking like a tool lol....

When I had my 2006 corvette... All corvette owners waived back.... Sad

Well generally what I do, is since I steer with the left hand, I'll more often than not just put the index and middle out like a peace sign up over the wheel, if they've acknowledged my being in another Camaro they'll see it and generally give the same or a wave back, if not, nobody saw me waving like a fool so no harm.

I get a lot of Harley guys giving thumbs up, especially since I installed my LT's with my Borla Catback exhaust.

LMAO! Glad I am not the only one! Haven't had my Camaro a week, waved once and no response. Wife was like, "What are you doing?" I told her it was a Camaro thing... She thinks I am

First thing I look for is the mail slot....

They problem with this, I've noticed, is that it's usually hard to see through the windshield, even if it's untinted. Maybe it's the way it's angled, but, until I get pretty close, all I can ever see is glare/sky reflection in oncoming Camaro's windshields.

In Glenpool, I'll get a wave back about half the time.. Have had a few in Tulsa, but most don't. And I don't think it's being a snob or anything, I just don't think they are looking back at me so they don't see me wave or it's too late.

I even tried swerving towards them and waving both arms frantically but then they just gave me the old California howdy! lol

Every now and again I get surprised and they even wave first.

Interestingly enough, I don't get offended when I don't get a wave back because sometimes I get caught looking at another oncoming Camaro and going, "Wow, look at how hot that car is....", then I catch a wave as he's passing. I'm like, "...s#it, missed it!"

So I figure they may be doing the same thing!

But, to answer you're question, I look to see if it's an V8 or V6.

P.S. One day an unknown 2013 5.0 Mustang owner passed an waved...first.

I'm gonna start hanging out the window at a red light when I see one and wave like no other.

"Hey hey!! I see you over there. ::Flailing my arms:: Look at me!!""

Ah, the joy of having an American car in Europe...

Every single one that I have seen has either flashed it's lights, or waved back, sometimes even almost driving past and turning heads then realizing "oh, another Camaro" LOL.

And never thought I'd say this, but get quite a few thumbs up from Porsches... next thing someone will be tellling me they're a nice bunch of guys

BTW... Most of the times it's a V8 here (EU versions definitely are, or if it's a US imported one, it's as good as always an SS), so I do check the door mirrors whether to see if they're "dumbo" mirrors or not
