Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I'm getting locked in to a 2SS/RS. For everything you get it's tough to beat.

so am i the only one who wants a 1SS? i'd rather have the cloth seats (trying to see if i can get the manual adjust ones from an LS) & won't need the butt heaters. talk says the aux gauges can be added. no fancy stereo or cell phone stuff. look at shadows for direction. don't want buttons on the steering wheel (except cruise). tint will take care of the dimming mirror feature.

Funny thing is, I could make due with cloth seats...... It's my wife who wants the 2SS for the leather and the Seat Warmers lol

The only thing that kind makes me sad is I could of taken that money and got a CAI and\or Shorty headers....

Once again, I will have my Short throw PERIOD!! She can't talk me out of that!

i went with the 1SS. there are a few things i want from the 2SS like the ambient lighting and 4 gauges, but i like cloth seats and i don't think it makes sense to pay for all the other stuff just for a couple things.

besides, the gauges is something i can get dealer installed. and i'm still hoping GM will offer the lighting as well

So what exactly is the ambient lighting? I am familar with all the other features the 2SS offers, but not that one.

While the luxury of the 2SS is nice, and new high-tech toys are cool, bottom line is that the 2SS is 22HP less than the 1SS, and that is something I could not imagine loosing! Not that I plan on racing. I just think 422HP sounds more awesome than 400HP. I don't plan on using this car in the winter so I don't need heated seats, and I don't need to spend extra on the sound system because the exhaust makes enough sweet music. However, I do wish the consol gages were available on the 1SS.

Long Live Camaro!

...

Wow.

Ok the 2SS and the 1SS has the exact same hp. The only difference is auto or manual.

i say a parts guy can order the components and you can get them installed. i plan on doing that to get just the front lip spoiler from the ground effects.

Mr. Darco

Thanks, I stand corrected. I misunderstood the specs until I just went back and saw them as you say.

Long Live Camaro!
