weird injector problem

I'm experiencing weird injector problem.
or just wanna check if my setting is wrong...

I'm using ID-850 and set the data in the tune properly with HPTuners.
usually AFR at idle is fine and stable around 14.6 with CL.
But It'll be super rich after driving more than 30 mins, and turn off and sit the car about 5-10 mins and turn it on again. It is going back to normal if I let the car to cool down around 30 mins, or drive slowly.

injector pulse width is even looks weird.
when it is good, the pulse width is 1.4msec and 14.6 AFR
when it is bad, the pulse width is 0.9 and 14.6 AFR(this changed by CLFT)

I'm kind if thinking IAT temp has something with this, because most of the time this happens IAT is around 140 when cranking.
IAT is drop down right after I drive the car to around 100 and take around 20 mins to be normal.

I only see those temp related parameters for open loop in HPtuners, but it only happens in CL...

I try run OL only , but I can't set leaner than 11.9 AFR with VE table some how...

Should I run this injector with 3 bar fuel pressure???

Try playing with the "injector flow rate multi vs. IAT.

Not a tuner, but taking a guess, could it be COT? I run ID1000 with KB BAP, zl1 pump, and adm fpcm. At idle, pulse is ~0.8 - ~1.0. Fuel pressure is solid at idle and at redline.

So far, only only odd intermittent thing is sometimes I get a longer cranking time when starting. I haven't driven the car much since I've been addressing suspension recon issues.

Other than that, car runs great with id1000s.

I think this might be help and set the amount next time I make that situation!

I found one more wired stuff
when those stuffs are happen, commanded AFR shows like running in OL. but.... STFT is working somehow. this is right after start the engine

I don't have cat and disabled COT stuffs, so I think COT is okay. is LTFT on in your settings?

I just flashed new tuning that has
dropped fuel pressure at 3 bar(43.5psi)
Just for lower pulse width

Turn on LTFT
because this problem is not happens as long as fuel trims working, so I just gonna tune with LTFT.
I was turning off LTFT for tuning with STFT only.

drive around town 2 hours around noon and it looks fine as I expected.

I'll spend more time with it. I'm monitoring Injector tip temp and Intake valve temp.

but I think those bigger injector has not be friendly without fuel trims at idle because even I changed some stuffs in Transient but not help that much...
like it is not easy to set stoichiometric AFR at idle on Open loop, just because can't set the lower number in injector settings and Transient in HPTuner.

BTW... I hope I didn't get defective injectors... LOL

Thank you for the reply

Well, that something I need to figure out.
since I changed lingenfelter fuel pump, I do have some wired feeling that something ring a bell....

I'll drop fuel tank and check all the connection again, try set all the OL parameters not change fuel delivery related temps, and check that again.

anyways, it is related with temps, so I decided to install super chiller system, so I can stay cool. and always almost same conditions that"ll makes easier to tune my car.

There are 16 potential fuel trim cells for the e38.

Evap Purge On Cells;
cell 0-1 Airflow based
cell 2-5 Not used
cell 6 Idle
cell 7 Decel

Evap Purge Off Cells
cell 8-9 Airflow based
cell 10-13 Not used
cell 14 Idle
cell 15 Decel

Log the fuel trim cell you are in to see if purge is on or off. You can also use this to filter out idle or decel data. Be aware that the PCM can command any percent purge from 0-100 so how rich it runs during purge will vary. I just disconnect the evap purge line where it goes into the intake then plug the intake hole when tuning. Let the end coming from the evap solenoid unplugged to vent into the air .
