Brand new 2LT/RS, first impressions...WOW
Well I just got a brand new 2012 2LT/RS. I've been reading around here a while, and posting here and there, but I've been dreaming about this car since I first saw them three years ago. Absolutely love it more than I ever thought I would. Few first impressions:
Never been more in love with a vehicle, in many ways. I got used to the visibility, which was my primary concern, in about three minutes. There are no blind spots with a backup camera, and mirrors set right. The V6 is pretty fast, and sounds great, I plan on avoiding ever driving a V8. Extremely comfortable, back seat isn't that bad if you move the front seats up a bit. Went without the sunroof, and I'm VERY glad about that decision, needed the head room. Wheels look amazing. Never had tires like the P-zeros, didn't know what I was missing. Bluetooth is extremely impressive, never had wireless music control, or phone either. Speakers sound awesome. The orange peel was immediately noticeable, however I got some very high quality wax, and it looks 100 percent better. Never let a dealer clean your car, its a labor of love. Put 200 miles on it in 24 hours, can't wait for the next hundred thousand. Glad to "officially" be a member here, three years of dreams are finally a reality. |

Congrats!!! The 2LT/RS with all the techy stuff definitely satisfies the Star Trek side of our brain. Now, just wait until you start the modifications. That slope gets slippery fast

I took delivery of the exact car on January 3rd and am still looking for reasons to take her out for a spin. Enjoy her to the fullest.

selleral:
First and foremost, welcome to not only the Camaro5 forum...but to Camaro ownership in that of itself. Not a lot of things I can really tell you, other than the fact that the feeling you have right now (about how much you love your car) doesn't go away. It just gets better and better. Everywhere I go, if there are little kids outside...they stare at it as I drive by, and the feeling it gives us (the drivers) is one where you really have to own it to understand. Look forward to seeing you around the forum.
