Cam or finish 78' Sierra?
Help me decide. The SS is already pushing nearly 420 RWHP and really that is pretty quick for me but I want more. I really want to finish my 78' Sierra too. It's a shortbed with a cammed out 350. I have dropped a good amount of money into the motor but needs exhaust, body work, interior work and a bad ass paint job. I would rather have the 78' as a daily driver and keep the miles off the Maro. Tough decision for me. I have had several people ask about buying the Sierra and I'm thinking, do I just sell it and put the money toward the Cam for the Maro. Help me out guys.
Thanks.

I'm in a similar situation as you. I have a '90 Sierra 2WD Stepside that needs to be repainted. I decided to get the truck repainted, and I'm about to take it to be painted at the end of this week/early next week.
A few factors went into my decision, such as: How reliable is my truck (in my case its still good) Do I need to sell it for the $ (in my case, no) Do I want to make my Camaro a daily driver (in my case I was leaning towards a split share of driving) But the #1 reason was everyone I have ever known that has owned a truck and sold it (and didnt replace it with another truck) always say "they wish they still had a truck." For me, the truck still brings something to the table that the Camaro can't (or shouldn't be used for) such as getting mulch for the yard, buying/moving furniture/appliances, towing something, etc. I just like having that reliable 2nd vehicle option as well |

I agree with the regretting it. The whole reason I bought this one is because I had always
regretted selling my 78' Siverado. Man, that truck was immaculate. Plus my wife never lets me forget it. She thought that truck was the shi@. She loved it. This one was used for racing only and I want to keep it that way but I don't know, I really want to add a cam to the Maro'. I guess I need to keep sleeping on it. Thanks for everyone's take on this. Damn, if I could only get a bonus this year, I'd be set!

Work on the Camaro. Give me the truck.
Or give me the Camaro. I'd be happy either way. Seriously, you've got two great vehicles. Get the truck finished so you can do some more showing off.
