Throttle Blade Closes 33%?

Has any tuner seen this happen on a cammed 6sp car?
We have logged the car and it closes (According to data) the blades under a hard shift...

We have all tm out of the car and have turned off parameters that might cause this but it is still reporting 33%...

We arent even sure it is doing it but the data logs say yes..
Very strange.

Its not a early ecu or a late ecu, its a middle build date unit

It sounds like still some TM is coming on. And being an A6 if the trans temp reaches a certain level it will close the TB some & pull timing. That and if it is detecting slippage in the trans. The newest A6 has so many freaking tables in is a royal expedition to figure it all out. I also found that leaving just a little TM in helps, just don't know why yet.

Keep us informed.

I know all the truck guys have these problems. iirc it has to do with the drive by wire stuff.

Turn off traction control and see if it still happens.

Bro its off, come on this isnt our 1st rodeo.
After looking at this I believe it cant be taken out.

GM was smart, its only happens for a split sec. and I honestly dont believe it will slow the car down.

Gotta love torque management......:(

I'm no expert, but from what I understand it can be tuned out with "custom" tunes and some handheld tuners.

We r using EFI Live and have tuned 100's of cars...TM and everything related to it has been turned off, IMO its something in the ECU that cant be fixed...Until certain parts of the ECU can be manipulated this is going to be an issue...I bet some people r getting it even after custom tuning and dont even feel or no its there...

For us that are curious about how some of this stuff works.....are we saying that TM manipulates airflow into the intake manifold irrespective of where your foot is on the accelerator pedal...(in addition to timing?)

Here is what we are seeing for logs, we turned off anything that has to do with TM BTM or TC relating to throttle and traction control....The car is doing something very strange, for a moment (slight sec) it shuts the blade up to 33%...I honestly dont think this is going to hurst perfomance and the car is makin 470RW...

We have been wondering if the clutch switch is doing it, I might install a switch to turn it off once the car is started and see if it goes away..

Look At the Method of RPM control, I don't know if it is available in EFI live or not.

There are 3 methods, Spark, Fuel, or Throttle, from the factory Spark and Throttle are set to control RPM rev limit

I just set them to Spark Only.

Ted.
