This will be us for a long time, and afterwards we’ll be long gone. Grand kids can worry about it if they want.
“There are an estimated 60-70,000 vintage cars in Cuba, from classic American models like Chevrolets, Buicks, Chryslers, Oldsmobiles and Fords to Soviet-era Volgas and Ladas. About half of them date back to the 1950s, the rest are even older. In the USA or UK these cars would be historic artifacts, locked carefully in a temperature-controlled garage, lovingly buffed every week, and driven only on the most special occasions. But in Cuba they are people’s daily runarounds, used as standard for picking up friends or running errands.” |

At some point we will see a balance between ICE and EV once the charging capabilities top out. |

I didn't quote the article above my post you quoted. With family back home getting letters from power providers I do not doubt that article at all.

Ford and GM have spent plenty of billions over the years on numerous vehicles that have gone bust and were never a success.
Now suddenly because EV anything and everything they produce from now on is absolute genius and above criticism. All you have to do is simply agree because they have done their homework, and along with the government they know what is best for you even if you don't know, or heaven forbid happen to disagree. Ford and GM have gone all in on EV and spent billions. It's automatically a success!! Who knew that they could do no wrong or never make a mistake from this point forward? All Hail! |

Number 3 will have a plethora of EV’s to choose from, soon. The Camaro Sedan EV being a sterling example. If his optimism is authentic, he’ll be one of the 1st members to buy one.

Um, Ford just lost a $1.2 billion lawsuit. Seems they didn't do their homework on what happens when a Superduty rolls over.

And to restate it, I am not in the market for an EV…….yet. Quote:
Ok, knowing a lot about liability and litigiousness in the auto industry (long story), any OEM losing a lawsuit has little to do with your point. Sorry to break it to you, but it generally has little to do with ‘homework”.

I stand by my original statement the signs are definitely there that our electrical grid cannot handle it. I have family and relatives across the North East getting letters about conserving power and avoid charging vehicles and shut off unused appliances and AC if possible. I will once again say the Automakers and Politicians did not do their homework. Our power grid cannot handle it.

EV Doublethink requires you to believe there is no grid problem. You must accept any shortages, reductions in the standard of living, quality of life, as well as higher energy costs and also believe that it is not even happening. The Transition and EV future is inevitable. |
