Nitto 555s in the rain

Anyone run the 555s as an all the time tire? How are they in the rain? How well do they hook? Thinking about getting a set and looking for some feedback.

Excellent daily driver tire. I have a set on my '09 CTS-V. They don't hook that well with 550 rwhp, but they do last a longer time than the Invo or NT05.

Get the 555r's. they are a better tire than the 555's

I've run both, if you are putting down any kind of power the 555's are like driving on ice.

My 555r's hook up great at the track and I caught a light, steady rainstorm on the way on my way back from the track (where I cut 1.6's all day long). They did fine in the rain, but I didn't push them.

I would never drive Mickey Thompsons or NT05s in the rain.

Yea I think Im going to go with the 555s. I daily drive my car and really need something that could be reliable if I get caught in the rain, but I want to hook well at the track too. I agree Padre, no way I would even consider daily driving the MTs.

I daily drive NT05's and i haven't had any problems in the rain as long as you arent getting into the throttle hard they are fine
