just like the title says,
i am applying vinyl to my fog lights , and since they are domed i was wondering what the best technique would be to install the vinyl..... from the center out towards the edges ,or start at an edge and go across??? any help is MUCH appreciated!!

Nver done a domed surface, but id recommend center out, with a heat source to conform it to the rounded shape... good luck!

Might I suggest "prestreching" first. with heat. It always seems to work for me. Then heat again when applying using a semi hard squeegy or paddle to work out bubble as you go.

I bought some Headlight Armor for my fog light lens. Heated them up with the wife's blow dryer. Started in the center and worked outward in all directions. Same for the headlights. Easy!

If you are using our yes, that is the way to do it The small ones are done dry, the ones on the Camaro are more medium and can be done dry or with a little bit of water. The install tutorial for a typical small fog light protection kit is on the site here. Hope that helps. |
