Superchips 2885 recieved today...
So I recieved my Flashpaq today and boy did it unleash some fury...I didnt have too much time to enjoy it though (fiance had dentist appointment and I got the kids...obviously she doesnt get whats more important. JK). I started with Superchips settings so far and Im pretty impressed. Its getting some GREAT 2nd gear scratch now. My SLP loudmouths sound so much better with the AFM off. I guess I never realized how often it kicked on even when I was romping on it.
So Id just like to give the guys a big over at Superchip, so far Im really impressed with what a nice lil 30 min mod (most of the time was the update) did to my L99. Thanks again to the guys over there |

Is your car more or less stock otherwise? No CAI or exhaust mods?
I'm thinking about one of these myself. Can you see if there's an A/F monitoring readout in the datalogging portion? TIA

I installed mine tonight as well. Definitely has more second gear sctratch. Having that AFM removed was worth every penney. I will run it through the paces tomorrow for sure.

Thanks. I finally got a response via PM from Scott and it does have it, but since they don't have specific CAI stuff available yet and looking at the G8 boards, it might be a while so I'm going a different route if I do anything.

Handhelds don't read A/F. You vehicle only has narrow band 02 sensors installed anyhow so it would really be a waste to read them unless your tuning idle/part throttle. WOT is out of the question. You need to buy a wideband (min. $3xx.xx) honestly to do any real A/F tuning and then there is the expense of hardware (min. $45x.xx) to read the signal including the software to read such data along with of coarse an advanced education in tuning (min. $1,8xx,xx)...I sell and support both ends of this spectrum. I've personally started with the handheld and went the mega buck tuner route myself. For those willing to tackle the expense and schooling I salute you. For the average enthusiast I ask one question: Where else are you going to get the ability to swap back/forth at will a stock to performance tune or vice versa (like at warranty time) as inexpensive as the Superchips handheld tuner?
