Did you go with Manual or Auto? Age?

Curious to see what if any influence age has when deciding to go with either the Manual or Auto. Post your age, your choice, and your reason !

I will start off with mine.

27 Years old, v8 Manual.

I've driven Auto for 11 years, but am learning stick now before my Maro's delivered. Personally, I went with manual because I just think auto's more of a luxury, and I view the Camaro as a muscle car more than a luxury vehicle. I also like the idea of being more involved in the driving & feel of the car. I find driving auto to get to be a bit numbing and am hoping the Manual will live'n things up a bit. The more "feel" I have for the car & control, the more safe & stimulated I feel.

People will probably cringe hearing that the Camaro will be my first manual but whatever. I am forking up for lessons first before I take delivery that way I am not going to be practicing raw on the Camaro and the precious new clutch.

Am really hoping that all the positives & hype around manual hold true to my own experience when I finally start driving it & that they outweight the negative arguments I've heard against Manual. I don't wanna find myself full of regret, wishing I had ordered an auto. When I placed my order, my gut was tellin me the Camaro deserved to be stick and was worth learning to drive stick for. :P

25 M, and my camaro is my first real stick too. I was driving an old manual escort for a couple of months to get the feel first though.

2SS/RS SIM with hood hockey stripe - 6 speed manual on order...

sampling of 5 previous cars, not all, just a sample:

2007 C6 coupe black/black - 6 speed manual (trading for Camaro)
2004 RX~8 black/black - 6 speed manual
2000 C5 coupe yellow/black - 6 speed manual
1998 Eclipse GST Spyder black/tan, tan top - 5 speed manual
1991 Miata silver/black, black top - 5 speed manual

Actually considered the A6 but I am glad I ordered M6... not sure what I was thinking, maybe getting old and lazy but I came to my senses...

Yep, same here. I'm 50 with a little arthritis in the knees. Drove manual for years, but will get auto when I get my Camaro. I plan on keeping the Camaro for many years.

18, went with Automatic. Don't know how to drive manual, and this will be my daily driver, so I'd rather get Auto anyway.

43- Manual
I Wasn't too sure, but when I look back 50 years from now, I will be glad I had the balls to get in the car with the Manual!

V8 Manual 44 here.
Why get anything else?

If I wanted a V6 or less with an automatic, I would have bought a mini-van or station wagon.
