Has anyone made a Gauge Pod for the dash yet?

Haven't seen one yet. Thought about making one that would replace the center speaker grille, just haven't had the time to work on it.

I think it would be fantastic if there were a radar detector pocket that could be installed in the dash speaker location. When the car turns on, the detector could pop up and into position and when the car turns off, it hides back down in stealth mode for parking.

We are in the process of making a new leather wrapped gauge cluster for you guys. I have a friend who has an SLP S/C 1LE that we are using to design the dash kit for.
So we will post up when this is finished

The plan is
We are ordering a replacement section of the dash from GM for his 2013 which I believe the 2012 and 13 are a different from the 2010 and 11. I am going to countersink 2 52mm gauges in front of passenger angled towards the driver. The we will finish it off in leather and match up the stitching to make it look as stock as possible. This is the best location we could find to do something custom and not have it look to out of place.

Once done I will be sure to post up pics

DD,
People have been requesting a dual 52mm gauge pod to replace the center speaker grill for quite some time. Most people disconnect the front center speaker anyway and this would work on all years. Just a thought.
