ZL1 rear end upgrade. Any issues with install?

I am about to pull the trigger on the ZL1 rear end upgrade for my SS and I had some questions for people who have already installed one.

Did you have any problems with the exhaust hitting the diff? Mine already seems close and with the ZL1 being bigger I think mine will hit.

If you did have problems with your exhaust what name brand do you have and what did you do to fix the problem?

If you didn't have any problems with the exhaust what name brand do you have?

What else did you do with the rear end install? What would be a good time to install while the diff is out of the way type of parts?

Adm billet subframe bushings. And upper carbon mounts. Plus a zl1 fuel pump and fpcm upgrade if your ever going to boost it.

I have the ZL1 rear end, but went with a kit from Hendrix Engineering that had a one piece driveshaft, and upgraded axles for around the same price, but i'm good up to about 1000HP. I also have the offset diff bushings from Hendrix Engineering, that raise the differential up, it gave me more exhaust clearance, and helped with my wheelhop a lot, along with our solid subframe bushings. I would look at that.

Stock ZL1 kit, no issues other than exhaust TSP 3" kit nothing a torch, hammer and 30mm socket to round the exhaust to clear the massive pumpkin. No wheel hop at all with this and very quiet.

I have a full 3" kooks system and yes there was clearance issues. Both pipes had to be dimpled about a half-inch or more. I think it took as much time messing around with the exhaust clearance, reinstalling it and syncing it as it did to do the drive train reinstall.
