WesB checking in from Mobile, Al

Dianeokie et all,
We will join the tour in Memphis. My wife and traveled with the Atlanta Camaro 5 folks last year from Knoxville to Cedar Point. We were in the 45th Anniversary Edition.
Plan A this year is to drive our 72 Nova if I get the OD transmission installed in time. If not we will drive the Camaro again this year.
We will look for you all in Memphis.

Wes

My wife and I signed up in March and are planning to do the Long Haul. This will be out first Power Tour and I am really looking forward to it. Monday we got the e-mail but we have not got anything in the mail yet. So if any of you see a Synergy Green Camaro driven buy a short funny looking bald guy, that would be ME. Please stop by and say HI!

We'll be jumping in in Champaign. Then do Gateway and Memphis. Wife is only going cause she wants a windshield banner!

Either plan sounds good! I do remember you all! I'm not really staying in the same hotels as the Atlanta Camaro Group this year, but will probably meet up with them at some point. What color is the Nova?

You probably won't get anything in the mail. Just need to print out everything you get and have a good co-pilot/navigator. Be patient and enjoy sitting in line looking at all the eye candy! Yep not that many Synergy Green Camaros out there. Lots of Victory Red, but not too many with the license plate RedHawt!

Nova is silver, black vinyl top and five spoke aluminum wheels. I got the same route letter last night also. Hope to see you all in Memphis.

We'll be long hauling again in the Camaro this year.

Dianeokie, hope to meet y'all this time! Are you doing the VFW fish fry?

3 gallon bucket, collapsible hose (think Pocket Hose as seen on TV)) and plenty of wash supplies. Travel with friends/family and doing a full wash each day or night isn't too bad. If it doesn't rain we'll just clean off the bugs and brake dust.

...is it June yet?!?

Well I finally finished the project and had it tuned this week, got a few little knickknacks left to do, almost ready for the tour, really hoping to see some of the Camaro5'ers out there, just doing a partial trip from Alabama to Baton Rouge Louisiana and back to Houston.

I have been wondering the same thing. I did hear that some of the hotels may have hoses in the parking lots for people to wash their cars. I don't know what I am going to do because I am not physically able to bend over and wash the car like that. I have never run the Camaro thru a car wash, but I have been thinking if I can find some touch less car washes I may have to do that.

The paint is so fragile, I definitely wouldn't run it through a regular car wash, but I have done the touchless too. Truthfully, it will be dirty, can't keep it totally clean. You just have to resign yourself to that. I find car washes with the wand and use that if necessary, or use my bucket and sponges if I have enough time. I look for one as I'm driving to the next venue, and usually after the venue (Cruise night) I go wash it. If not, I might get up early enough the next morning, or if I get to the venue early enough, I'll wash it before.

Taking the ZL1 again this year. Will be its first anniversary as I bought it on the way to the start of the Power Tour in Charlotte last year.
