CreekTrack is the one that changes my LEDs. I take apart all the items and send him the LEDs and the circuit boards. He swaps the LEDs and sends them back. You can PM him though, or email him at Creektrack@Yahoo.com. His name is Chris.

I'm changing my dash and door ABL to red. So I want to change the LED's inside my window switches. I see they're about the size of Roosevelt's nose on the dime. I don't have the means to solder something that tiny and I don't want to have to ship them somewhere and wait for them to come back. Maybe I'm asking for too much but i have the LED's, what kind of local place could I look for that could do that for me? I don't know what type of business to do a google search for that does tiny soldering jobs like that so I can take it there and pick it up.

I actually did this mod on my Old Celica.. it turned out pretty sweet =)

I did burn the crap out of my hand though. That soldering gun is HOT!

I'm trying to figure out how to get pictures to come out. I just did this mod...using white for numbers, white for the DIC backlight, and red for the halos. This combination looks VERY good. White looks very good for the DIC, and putting the LEDs up on its side was easy. Waiting for instructions on the radio.

For me, the difficult part was getting the covers/shrouds off of the gas gauge & temp. I ended up prying them off, and that broke several of the clips. Fortunately, it still fits very tight. Expanding on this part of the instructions would be helpful.

To post pictures, Click 'Go Advanced' under where you'd normally type. The page will refresh. Then click the paperclip icon which will bring up a new box. You can then browse through your computer and find the picture file you want to use. Click upload. Then 'Submit Reply' You can also use this method to attach pictures from other websites using the URL.


As for the gas/temp covers, are you talking about the small covers that are in front of the needles for the gas and temp?


I'm very interested to see your pics for the White LEDs on the DIC screen.

I should be done with the radio this week. I got it back from creektrack once, but the hashmarks line up funny with the LEDs on the A/C side and I didn't like it, so it was sent back to change a few LEDs. I believe he put it in the mail yesterday, so I should have it tomorrow or Saturday.

Yes, I had difficulty with the covers for the gas & temp needles.

I was trying different cameras/settings to get the lighting to come out well.

Can't wait to see the radio. Can you expand on the hashmarks? I'm probably going to tackle that soon (as soon as I hear from you on any tips :-)

Where did you get your LEDs for the 4 gauge? My hubby tried to use white LEDs for his, but burned up a chip. He's going with red instead. :(

Angel, I also replaced the LEDs in my 4 gauge to white. I used the PLCC2s from oznium.com.
