Not sure,it just seems that most of the complaints on paint chips are without ground effects, either because less have ground effects or because they are not chipping as much....

Just picked up my car last week w/gfx. I havent had it long enough to accumulate much chipping but i do already have a chip
I dont think the gfx make much difference.

I have a couple of chips on my gills and have the gfx. I do think that i would have more if not for the gfx. We just took it out of the garage last week and still have quite abit of snow. The roads were mostly dry but have alot of sand and gravel from the winter. After driving it i could see alot of dirt on the side gfx panels but was not to bad on the sides. I know why did i take it out ? I couldn't take it anymore i had to drive it! Snowing again today and is supposed to all week. At least i got two days in anyways.

the gill area is a mess- front is a little better at the low points, but you're bound to have some impacts...

Rockers and lower quarter panels behind tires are getting beat up on ours as much as the gills, seems like the ground effects would cover some and painted surface would be at a less exposed to the tire angle.....

The car does chip easy. I have two tiny chips, but since your car is chipped excessively I'm going to ask you about your driving style, are you driving to close to the car in front of you ? If you are 15 feet away from the car in front of you you are always going to get chips on your car. Try staying 100 to 150 away from the car in front of you, and watch out for the dirt and rocks on the edges of the road.

Lower rockers,in front and behind the tires on quarters, only two chips on whole nose and hood. All our roads are chip sealed every few years so that makes it worse.. we drove it very little this winter and my Wife drives it most of the time and babies it... Guess it's the price you pay............

Was gonna ask the same. Also are people driving these in the winter? My truck looks like it's been sandblasted from the sand and salt on the highway in the winter. A camaro wouldn't make it through the snow up here, although winter was relatively short this year!

I have the GFX and do not have any chips at all. I've had it for 10 months but I've only got 1500 miles on it. I'm getting the 3M clear bra installed on April 2nd. They're doing the front bumper cover and part of the front fenders the hood and mirrors. Hearing about all of the chipping I may end up doing the entire side of the car if it's not too expensive.
