Got My 2011 SS with the RotoFab Cai and the GMMP axle back exhaust installed.
I actually love the sound as it is .... not too loud, but roars when you step on it.
I want to get it tuned to make sure the mixtures are right and adjust the transmission. Would you go ahead and get it tuned now or get some high flow cats and then get it tuned?

I'm afraid if I get the high flow cats it will be too loud for me at highway speeds?

I like the performance now as is, I just want the transmission adjusted for harder shifts and spin the tires a little.

The transmission can be tuned, I had mine and the car spins the tires hard from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd. If you can get a goot tuner, surely he knows how to tune it. Notice that I had also my engine tuned. If you get the high flow cats, the sound when riding normally will not increase, you will see a difference when you punch it, the sound will be a good solid one.

On some 2011's the tranny can't be fully tuned yet.Company's are having a problem locating the TM in the tune.

A solid tune will really change the car. It will let you take full advantage of the upgrades you have already done. If you're going to step up to changing cats, I would save a bit longer and get some headers and then a tune. That combination with what you have already done will let the stock motor perform at its absolute best. High flow cats will ad a bit more sound, but won't be crazy. You may not even notice.

We have had some great tuning results with the A6 as well. Let us know if we can help!

Good luck!

Dealer installed the GM exhaust, said that the CAI was ok and even said I could get it tuned as long as I didn't go crazy with the tune

I realize I'm relying on His word, but He's a pretty cool Guy!

We will see?
