Seriously, You look to be a hardcore V8 fan. Especially considering you bought a 1SS, probably in some sort of attempt to shave a few pounds so you can go even faster. But we are all the same family. A camaro is a camaro. Same badge, same bloodline, and the same maker! Since you seemingly can't get over the fact that some people may actually prefer the V6 over the V8, maybe you should take yourself here.

That's a waste of money now and a waste of money over the life of the car with gas & insurance. I'll be going for mods that reduce my gas costs, not drive them up, thanks.

That way when my daughter turns 16 she will have a cool a$$ car that she can backup into her old man's new 2024 Camaro.
LOL good luck

Please keep your V6 vs V8 out of this thread.

Got my car last night. Drove about 100 miles.
Found I had a 68 Camaro SS behind me on the way home. Not sure if he liked it or not. He got on it by me as I took a left.

Another 100 miles or so today. Went to work but didn't get much work done. Gave a few people a ride. Haven't brought it over 4300rpm (break in) but I did see that it really can give some lateral G's... Sticks like fly paper.

Now I'm cooking a couple of steaks tonight out on the grill and I looked behind me at my car, seemingly staring at me with those halo's. Somehow I felt like I should throw one to the car.

Hi Guys!

New V6 Camaro owner... but not new to being a V6 owner... My previous V6 was my 2005 Mustang... seen a lot of the V6 vs V8 "debates"... Used to bother me... the key here is "used to"... I'm proud of my AMERICAN sports cars! I loved my 05 Mustang... numerous trophies, few magazine articles and 12 second time slips! Heck sold the car almost two years but still keep the website up : www.v6john.com

So I drive a V6... there was a time when "you should have got a V8" would have bothered me... it started getting old about the millionth time i heard it! LOL! Today I am ecstatic with my choice! I'm proud of my V6... Right now it's about going out and cruising and having fun!!! Maybe get over to the track for some brackets... Just really enjoying the car!!! And that's what it's all about!

To quote a friend of mine... "Flame On!"

I own a V8 but beforei got it I test the V6 and was in love with it. Was very impressed with the power it had. If hadn't already ordered the V8 I would've bought theV6 on sight and never had any regrets! Like someone else said we all same family. There all sweet rides regardless of engine size. So lets just all get along. Congrats to everyone who has been blessed enough to get to say they are a proud owner of this bad azz car!!

Is the only reason to buy a Camaro, to race? Here I thought it was to own a nice looking affordable car that is fun to drive. I guess some can't have fun unless it's a v8?

Yep it is to have fun but a V8 is ALWAYS more fun just more expensive on the wallet so if you can afford it go for it!.
