Norm Kraus of Grand Spaulding Dodge of Chicago has filled a gaping hole in the Dodge Challenger lineup. Though the Challenger SRT8 is a sick piece of kit, the venerable 426 Hemi and Hemi Cuda Convertible was the staple of drag racers and crusiers back in the day and Kraus wants that legend to return. Featuring throwback staples such as the 1971 inspired grille, a shaker hood, Hemi graphics and other hallmarks of the elder autos, the new generation Hemis will have Dodge fanboys lining up.

The 426 will be accompanied by a Kenne Bell supercharger boosting power to 725 horsepower. Not messing with breaking driveshafts and blowing diffs, Kraus also installed a Dana 44 rear and heavy-duty driveshafts.

Far stronger than the factory cast rods and pistons, these components provide the ultimate complement to the Mr. Norm’s Signature Kenne Bell 2.8 liter twin screw supercharger that pumps up the volume of the Hemi engines to a whopping 725 pavement melting horsepower.

Backing up the performance of the thundering supercharged Hemi engines on both convertibles is the Mr. Norm’s Hi Performance Rear Suspension System that replaces the stock components. The Mr. Norm’s Rear Suspension System utilizes the beefy Viper SRT-10 spec Dana 44 differential that’s mated to a significantly more robust driveshaft and half shafts. TTI manufactured the low restriction cat back dual exhaust system that produces an aggressive exhaust note that befits a blown Hemi. As does the billboard side graphic. Not enough for me. What I'm thinking is a new fascia for the 'Cuda with the fog lights moved inward and possibly 'gills' on the front fenders.
