Bumblebee's Drive-In Movie Theatre
Imagine its the summer of 09', and you go to check out debut of Transformers 2 at the local Drive-In in your new Camaro-And none other than Bumblebee is steadily holding the screen....And you know you've got the best "seats" in the house!
(Note-I switched out orig pic with smaller, easier viewing pic.....Also, attached 2 new ones! One is abandoned Drive-In, and second is same Drive-In with some PSing. Update-Cashier hired....BB Theatre is open for business!) Last edited by DerbyChamp06; 02-19-2009 at 10:31 PM. Reason: Replaced/added pics....again! |

Thanks! While working on it, I got to thinking how cool it would be if GM got together with Paramount to host the actual debut of movie at a Drive-In somewhere, and invite everyone who has the new Camaro, or an older one. What a sight that would be.

Yes, it would be great to see this movie in particular behind the wheel of a new Camaro! Sorry to hear you haven't gotten chance to visit a Drive-In yet. Drive-In's are a dying breed, for sure. Where I live, in Twin Cities, there were probably 10 or so in greater metro area back in the 70's. Now, there's only one, I believe.....Lost Americana, for sure. If you go to the Photobucket or Flickr sites, and type in "Drive-In Theatre", some great pics pop up of abandoned drive-ins. I may try to PS one from abandoned to reopened with Bumblebee's logo.....Here's another filtered version. Have a great day!

VERY nice photoshop there..the only thing with the camaro though is that your friends can't fit in the trunk to avoid paying at the drive-in!

Thanks Phantom! Its not quite up to your awesome Chops, but was fun doing! I'd love to see your PS version of same idea. Your pics are always top-notch!
I just added another one at top, of PS'd abandoned Drive-In, along with original (after a PS auto adjust, which made it much lighter)....Here's the untouched version. Something very nostalgic about those old Drive-Ins! Last edited by DerbyChamp06; 02-19-2009 at 02:26 AM. |

Just posted "Final" versions! On first one, scaled down Bumblebee. And on refurbished Cashier booth, "hired" a hot cashier....BB's Theatre is now open for business

Thanks! I did a prior PS of same Camaro in Drive-In scene, and after seeing photos of the giant autobot BB at Chicago Auto Show, got the idea! Gotta love those old Drive-Ins!

Where is that abandoned Theater? I see you are from MN. I have lived in MN all my life up until 3 weeks ago. I used to go to the Drive in Theater just north of Litchfield MN, and I would LOVE to go there again in a New Camaro to watch Transformers!

Yeah those were great days. The only time you could have a rye and coke and watch a movie on a big screen. Man, I had some good times at the drive in. If you know what I mean! HEHE They used to think my car was a low rider with hydraulics on!
