Alaska, i still have a house there with 10 acres and wished i could sell it but the market has finally tanked there! Summers are absolutely beautiful if you can get past the sun setting at 2:00 am in the morning and rising at 4 am!
When winter hits it never comes out, you go to work when it's dark and get off when it's dark, depressing as hell!

Hmmm, I'm thinking Vacation Spot.... Two weeks rent.. take my bride and forget about schools, work cars etc lol... back to reality...

We stayed in Wasilla, and had to use black out curtains with shoes in the window sills to get it dark, that was strange....
