My boost controller should be at the shop, and with the other goodies recently added, we ought to be able to really crank it up when I get home... I'ld like to be in the more boost than tire pressure gang... 18 or so lbs of boost, 200-250 shot of nitrous... I might be able to keep up with you guys...

I ordered my Hogan intake manifold today with the mechanic at IPS. He said "you're not going to ever put nitrous on the car are you?" And I said, "A year ago I never thought I'd put a new engine in it."

We ordered the intake with the ports for nitrous just in case.

There are gearheads and there are GearHeads... You fall into the GEARHEAD ADDICTED category....

Awesome, I can't wait to see your ride with the Hogans... I'm still debating it... Direct port nitrous (or however it's termed) would be awesome

At least crack heads have a place to go for help. For mod addiction you just hear from other C5'ers, or stand at shows, or talk with other gear heads that keep feeding you what they have done or you can "do more" "do more". Then you may feel like a dog that hasn't been feed for 4 days. "Mod'ing - you never get your fix"

In many cases this isn't even keeping up with the Jones's, this is Jonesing and just plain "keeping up"

hahaha... now that is a new Camaro5 Proverb right there.

speaking about keeping up...

I need a rear end... I already have a DSS 1400hp axels and DSS drive shaft

- do i get the DSS Strange 9in kit... which will require NEW Axels and drive shaft because the center section is different, so all the lengths are different. DSS will take my parts in as returns, but not sure what kind of price they will give me.

- DSS Hammerhead 12 bolt kit (coming early 2012) - I need to figure out the major differences between this and the Strange 9in.

- Strange Solid Rear Axel - same rear end that is in the COPO Camaro, get rid of the IRS all together, (need to call strange and get more details)
talked to strange... will not be for sale... they may do one offs... but the fabrication is suppose to be a insane

- Lingenfelter IRS - not too excited about this one, would rather just go with the DSS/Strange kit.

any one have some decent info on the above...

I pm'd you about some info on this...

The good news on this is you can get a pretty good trade in on your DSS stuff from the DSS if you stick with their stuff... A guy at IPS just did that. I think he got around $800 for driveshaft and axles.

Also, DSS matched my driveshaft to my 4L80... that's why I did a new tranny now rather than waiting.

Here is the tranny end:

I'm waiting for this before I make any decisions about beefing up my driveline.

Also, because I want my vehicle for varying types of driving conditions street / drag / road course, i"m not going to convert it to a 9in., I think this was probably the only option so most folks went down this route.
