Am I the only one that doesn't like big wheels on these cars?

I ordered some matte black 20x9 all the way around wheels for my car, but before that i looked at hundreds of wheel pics for these cars. I see most everyone loves the big 22" or 24" wheels on these cars. They are definitely not my cup of tea. to be honest I think they look kind of silly. Makes the brakes look tiny and the tires look like rubber bands. Looks like those cartoon pictures of cars where the wheels are over exaggerated (see attached pic). Now, big wheels do look perfect on exotic cars because they look like they fit and they have the big fancy brakes to match, to me the Camaro is a muscle car and not an exotic super car.
This will be the 4th F body I have owned and the biggest wheels i had before were chrome 19" C6 on my black 99 TA. Even those almost looked too big, you couldn't even tell the car was lowered.
Maybe i will feel differently when i actually get my car, put the wheels on and lower it. But i doubt it. I have always been more go than show, hence why my car will be IOM with everything else matte/flat black, no chrome anywhere.
Not bashing at all, i know everyone likes something different. For example I know not everyone diggs the flat black look.
So, am I the only one?

Different strokes for different folks. I like the factory 20"s the best with some meat on the tires' sidewalls.

That being said I also ordered the 20x9 all the way around to get rid of the staggered wheels. Except for my old drag racing rims, 15x3 up front and 15x10 in the back, I don't like staggered wheels and think they are pointless in the 5th gen camaro. I completely understand having wider rims and tires out back for RWD cars, but it has got to be a REAL difference. My 98 SS came factory with 17x9 all the way around. I would expect at least a 1.5" or 2" difference in width if they are doing staggered wheels. At least they didn't do like the corvette with different diameter and make them an 19" front and 20" rear, that would have really erked me.

20" really aren't that big. The wheel design makes them look bigger. How the spokes go all the way to the lip of the wheel makes them appear to be bigger than they are. Kind of ab optical illusion

Alot of friends have 22's and 24's on their trucks and they look good. I don't like anything bigger than 20's on a Camaro though.

Exactly, I had the stock 22" 07 Escalade wheels on my 03 ESV and they looked just a tiny bit small, but i loved them because they were GM wheels and i love the clean look of factory wheels.

Did you really think you were the only one? Or was this thread just an indirect jab at those who like bigger wheels?

LOL

Haha...it was probably a "who is with me" jab...but I'm in his camp! I don't like the big or the gaudy and especially the big and gaudy!

I like the 22" in some wheels on different cars and colors, but I'm staying with 20" F14 when I decide to pull the trigger.
