spectre cai

Has anyone used this Spectre Cold Air Intake? Looks nice with the chrome pipe, but how does it perform? For the price I'm interested, but don't want to waste $150 on junk.

its ok. I had one. the pipes are alittle bigger than normal for the intake. also to you might have to cut your engine cover if you want it to fit. it still fits but its kinda tight in that area. U will throw some CEL codes once in blue moon with it. just have the dealer clear it.

Be sure to check out what we offer. We are a Michigan based company and I see you are in MI as well, so supporting the local guys is always great! Sometime you get what you pay for, with our CAI you will pay a little more but you will get a insulated and sealed airbox as well as a thermal coated intake tube to reduce heat soak and keep IAT's lower. Our system is very high quality, has been proven time and time again to perform, is made right here in MI and has a lifetime warranty, and is backed by thousands of happy customers on this forum. If you have any questions just let me know, a PM or email works best, thanks!

These guys make a great intake period. Quality is second to none, performance is very noticeable over stock, IAT's have dropped so all in all, I'm a very happy Cai inc customer

Ok not going with the Spectre, noticed it is fully "made in china". Checking into the CAI, looks like they may be very close to home. Also interested in the K&N, going to pair one of them with an MRT 2 exhaust (also very close to home). Any benifit going one over the other?

I originally had the K&N and switched to the CAI. CAI is just a lot higher quality, looks better, and has better performance. Well worth the upgrade in my opinion.
