Dealership trade in value?

Hi guys,

I was wondering if any of you have tried to trade-in your Camaro at a dealership and what you were offered?

I just want to know roughly...i.e. 15K? 20K? 25K? (lol)

I want to trade my car for a 2013-2014 Mustang GT

Thanks!!

well approx. 2 years ago i looked at trading in my 2011 SS convertible for a more family oriented vehicle and went to a few GM dealerships and used car lots and i was offered anywhere from 22k to 27 k and the car had approx. 35,000kms. So i told them to bite it, as they had every excuse from they would have to store it for the winter, to it would need up to 5000$ for it to be reconditioned and certified, even though the car was mint with good rubber and brakes, and still under full factory warranty......so did a few upgrades and mods, and picked up a $2000 trailblazer for the family to ride in.....a/c works and its great in the snow, so everybody's happy, including me.....cheers and good luck

I went in Oct and the GM dealer started the bid at $12K and stopped at $15K + tx for my V6...
I had 150K KM with a lot of mods ($15K)...so I told them NO.
I rather keep mine cause as I'd built it the way I wanted and now enjoying it Debt free

When I got my Z, I traded in my 2010 2SS for a Cruze. The dealer gave me 22K for it.
Because the 22K came off the price of the Cruze, I saved the tax on it so it was like a private sale at 26K.
This was in 2014

Well I have seen a low of 19k to high of 27k retail on 2010's. so 15-22k would be wholesale/trade value.

Your car has been modded so they may offer less.

Most dealership customers want an unmolested factory stock car.

My suggestion is to sell your mods and put it back to stock or swap your mods to a friend for cash and their parts or trade a friend cars or just sell it on here modded.

Last summer I traded my 2011 2LT for my 14 1LE. I listed 24k for private sale before, no luck. Then I went to this dealer, they offered me 23.5k for the 2LT plus the tax saving that's like 25k. So i got what I wanted and a good deal on 1LE.
