Something. Interesting....

2010 SS with Magnacharger, cai intake, dynatech headers, magnaflow exhaust. Msd fuel pump boosters, installed and tuned by jannetty racing...
Over my time going to sea I had occasionally returned to a dead battery, no big just charged it and went with it. After a charge it worked fine no problems. It got to the point to where the battery was losing its charge after a week to two of downtime. I decided to get the battery replaced. Brought it to a dealer for a new battery. They said te car was still under warranty and they'd do a battery test and rePlace if necessary. Ok cool, 2 hours later they go to start the car and it will not fire up. It basically diesels and acts like it is not getting any gas at all, shutting down with a massive backfire.
They began with "it's so heavily modded" and "we didn't even pop the hood".
I am not disputing the fact that all they did was charge it. But what the heck happened to her? They also said their is a gurgling sound in the fuel rail whn they turn the key over. The tank is under 1/4 which I've done countless times. Never had this problem ever or anything like it.
Thoughts? Opinions?

They ran a fault check and it reads the computer is not communicating with the fuel pump controller. That would explain the gurgling in the fuel rail

Did they reset your tune?

Don't know how they would've. It's not like a tune can just disappear. The only time they had access to the ecm was when they plugged it up to see why it wouldnt start. I told them it was tuned before that point.

Sometimes the act of reading the PCM causes *temporary* problems.

Has it since been performing OK?

They only read the ECM after the car started havin the issue. To my knowledge all they had done was charge the battery and a draw test. The car had never had any issue at all except the battery losing juice after sitting a few weeks

Honestly not sure what's going on. I'm hopeful for a good outcome. I hope they find and fix the issue and I don't have to battle them on this.

the gurgling sounds like the magnacharger water pump with the kit the lower it gets in water the louder the gurgling gets. It comes on when you turn the key over.

I have no idea. They ended up keeping the car so I couldn't do any diagnosing of my own. They said the only charged the battery and did the draw test.

They did voltage checks all the way up to the fuel pump controller which they said read good, however they did not get readings past the boostapumps. Before I took the car there I had 0 problems with it. They did a battery charge and draw test and now the things are fried. Am I responsible for paying them to replace these even though they were absolutely fine before I went in there? I mean, how do I go in strictly for a new battery and my bap gets fried and the car has to stay?
