Concealed gun owner accidently shoots 20 year old girl in head at church on a Sunday

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/0...6pLid%3D135239

I am so happy now that I NEVER go to church.

“Mr. Zambrana, who has all the proper permits to carry a gun, took the two men into a nearby closet to show them how the safety features work,” said Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Cecilia Barreda. “The gun discharged went through a wall and struck the girl in the head.”

Edit: she died

and just think of the bad luck, that the bullet would actually hit someone, let alone the preachers daughter.

I hope she survives.

"Accidental" my arse… more like negligent. He gives CHLers a bad name. There are four basic rules…follow those and crap like this will not happen.

IDIOT

Hopefully He will loose his permit after this bonehead mistake.

If not, He needs to have his gun taken!

You ALWAYS check the chamber and show the other person it is in fact empty before handing the gun over!

I only have one rule: If at all possible don't draw it until you have already decided to shoot.

If you want to learn about guns, take a class. If you want to look at guns, go to a gun store. Leave me alone.

The only person who has ever handled my gun while I was carrying concealed was a cop who disarmed me during a routine traffic stop (I had a bulb out in my tail light). I was the first licensed concealed carrier he had encountered and he was simply being careful which is his right.

The people involved with the shooting should be tried for criminal negligence.

Idiots

1. Treat every gun like it's loaded at all times.
2. Don't point a gun at anything you don't want to destroy.
3. Keep your finger off the trigger.
4. Be sure of your target and what is behind it.

Rob

id say the problem come where folks are to eager to mod their guns for ideal range shooting.

a hair trigger is great for hitting targets from a distance well but most self defense happens within 5ft, adjust that trigger pull so only a 100% deliberate pull can set it off.

did you tell the officer you had one or how did that happen? did he draw his weapon right when he knew you had one?
