Conservative tune because the tuner was nervous with the boost surge towards peak rpm.

LS9 Cam, ZL1 Fuel Pump, 60# injectors. 3.5" Pulley.

I have no idea why my numbers are so low even with a conservative tune, but it doesn't hook in first or second anyway. *Insight appreciated*

Ran a 12.3 but I need a driver mod (I accidentally started in 2nd all 3 times)

Stock 3.5 pulley and LS9 Cam seems right. I drove around with stock 3.5 with 501rwhp. NA gains on that LS9 are 20 hp. Do you remember the iats and how much timing was thrown in mine was -5.5

Iat's under what conditions.. 140 is no big deal during a pull under boost..

IF there is no Knock then why would timing -5.5 be added? Also look at the guys that throw out these magnificent RWHP numbers there IATs are like 80 or 90 and temp outside is 70 or below and the car had a lot of time to cool ect. on the dyno.

For instance.. I drove the car 3 years with just the blower no extra mods.. It did 501 at the wheels temp outside was 62 degrees Humidity was very low IATs were well below 100 for first pull. the rest were no more then 105.

I then added Kooks and CAI.. I dyno 499 RWHP this time. It was 105 in the shop and humidity was 87%, the car felt really strong after the install even when hot I seem to have picked up a lot of the power I lost when it was 100 out side.

I then came back to do heads and Cam this time a cool front had came through and temps back in the high 60s. We wanted a baseline to see what the heads and cam would add so dynoed again the car did 517 RWHP.

Head, cam, and smaller pulley picked up another 100 I guess and the meth added 20 or 30

Now at 657 but with Cats on heard a lot of problem with HIflos so gutted them and will see what it makes today..

Aren't the cars tuned of the IATs as well as other tables?

When my car made 780 it was the last of 5 or 6 pulls on the dyno and the IAT's were about 125. At that temp I don't pull any timing. Iat's on the dyno don't really tell the story because you are making a pull of only a few seconds. On a quarter mile run or highway pull the temps will be higher. I see 130-150 in the quarter, depending what they start at. How much timing you pull and at what temps is up to the tuner.

Real world driving I see Iat of 120-130 easily. Honestly aside from the meth the 2 best mods for cooling were the mail slot mod and hex vents. You can literally watch the heat just radiate out and watch the temp drop when driving. I use a dash hawk for monitoring. BTW there are no ideal IAT . Several weeks ago the track was 80 degrees and the DA was over 2200. Dyno numbers are just that .... Numbers.

Ya you probably do see good numbers

No offense but y'all are from Canada and NY rarely do y'all have 105 temps and 85 plus humidity.. Here its all but 3 mos out of the year do we cool down..when you do hit our temps the news down in texas Reads heat wave kills!... and the humidity is so high here the heat exchanges are not as efficient.. the heat just compounds from stop N go traffic the blower and motor gets heat soaked.. Even when you start moving again the humidity is so high it doesn't dissipate the heat as well like it should.

I like the idea of the functional mail .. I just had my engine hood liner painted not sure about the hood cut outs it probably mess with Bee!

I picked up a better Afco heat exchanger on ebay.. and I'm have a Ice tank being built with a intercooler core inside for a closed system. I should be able to run Ice and dry ice. Didn't want to mess with poring bag ice through the system.. just a large cool ice box..

No offense taken.... Its the nature of the beast.

That's the slot I run now. The hex vents just give it an easier exit. What did you pay for your HE?Did you change your pump too?
