I had an '85 Z28 in the same color, but it wasn't a convertible. I LOVED that car and wish I still had it.

really looking forward to it. Plans are to paint it stryker blue metallic.
That's a gorgeous blue! Blue is my top choice for the first gen I'd like, too. But I wanted blue when I got my 68 Vette, too , and I've loved the orange.

Good lord, I think I'm going to need to read this thread over and over dozens of times! I love looking at a photographic history. The pictures tell the story! So many wonderful cars you've owned. It's great to see many of these classics getting restored and put back on the streets.
I love this picture with the snow. Looks beautiful! This is also my favorite looking car of all that you've owned:

My only question now is which cars do you still have now? haha

hahaha! The Black and White one is Pepe Le Pew! Between him and the Orange SS/RS with the black going down the door those are probably my two faves..
I sold Pepe in 07....
Still also have the 85 Z28 Vert....
The trans ams and first gens bring back such fond memories for me...
I guess that is why I keep buying the same ones over and over again.. LOL
After getting my 2012 ZL1 I have been planning all day today in fact to put the 68 vert on hold until I get a garage built in the house finally...
I was going to do the 68 vert next, but I have talked myself into putting it on hold and buy a real Y82 1977 Special Edition Bandit TA. I don't have to have a garage for that.
On it, I plan on buying one already restored and pay anywhere from about 20k to 30k for it.
Then when I get my garage built I will start searching for a 68 RS covertible to make it my own. Plan on painting it Stryker Blue Metallic, I think I will go with either a black gloss stripe going down on the door like on my RS/SS
or doing the stripe in Navy Blue. I think the Navy Blue will be a nice contrast against the bright Stryker Blue Metallic.
LS1 or LS3 with 6 speed, deluxe interior.... Power Windows.... AC......
Power Top...... Console with factory guages....... 17 inch TT's
and to top it off... A Super Charger.....
It will be the shit for sure... A Camaro King has to have a cool car right?

Darn! I was hoping you still had Pepe! What a beautiful car.
That '85 'vert looks pretty clean. Cleaner than any '80s camaro I've seen around. Most around here are trashed. :(
The 2012 ZL1 sounds like a beast. Definitely fit for the Camaro King!!!

And speaking of, I saw a Smokey & the Bandit edition camaro on the interstate on my way back to school this past sunday! My roommate didn't have a clue what it was, and I was surprised to see it as well. But that'd be a great car to have! You think you'd go for a clone or a real one? Personally I would get a clone, but thats cause I could never spend the money on a real car knowing I could get a clone for cheaper. I'm sure my outlook on that will change as I get older.

And lastly, that '68 'vert sounds like the king of all camaros, haha. Seriously, your ZL1 will be very sweet, but I think that '68 'vert would top it, in my opinion at least. I can tell you've got it well planned out. You should get some renderings done sometime and frame them. Then you'll be able to look at them every day and it'll push you to build that garage, buy the TA, and then get that '68 'vert project started!!!

More than likely I will buy a real one from Trans Am Specialties in FLA like this one.
Yes, it will be a genuine SE or I won't even bother with it. Just how I am.

Ah well I can certainly respect that. Like I said, I'm sure my opinion would change over time.
