Ill talk to my dad about it and see if he would be up for maybe trying to install it our self. Maybe he can, he repairs million dollar machines everyday but then again this is totally different.

OP does the quote they gave you include a new set of OE Gaskets and some O2 extensions? Because if it does then that means they are charging less for labor because that 460 include some parts as well.

Thanks for all the info, fellas. It's at a Firestone, and I didn't ask them their hourly rate. He said after checking to see if all the O2 sensors were working correctly it'd be 4-5 hours for them to do it.

I've thought about doing it myself...but I don't have a garage (well I have a big parking garage, but not my own garage) let alone the tools....which I'm not even sure what I would need. Once you say it like..."save that $460 for other mods"...it sounds very tempting.

I'm not mechanically inclined myself. I installed my CAI, throttle body, JDP halos...and that's about it. I do have four jack stands and a jack.

Anybody wanna help??? Ha!

No I already have the new OEM gaskets (~$35) and O2 extensions. This is just labor.

Are new gaskets required? I thought you could use your existing ones or is it just recommend to get new ones since their so inexpensive?

on a fairly new car, I just use the existing ones. I've done it twice now, and no leaks. both cars with about 20k miles on them.

No, they're not required...some people have used the old ones and have no problems. I just figured they weren't too expensive and I won't even worry about using the old ones.

Nice, man! I'm hoping to have these on quite sooner than that, though. Hahaha.
