Sticker Price+
Just left Belisle Chevrolet in Warwick, RI.
They have a red Camaro on the sales floor with a sticker price of about $28,000. After their "added dealer value - $9999.00" plus some dealer install options the sticker price is over $40,000. Price gouging is a big turn off to me. The salesperson said it was however, negotiable. Not going back to that dealership for anything. |

I got an internet quote for a 2SS/RS which was 38,500. Not too bad, that's what I was expecting anyways. Then, he tells me that they have 2 SS/RS Camaros coming in. BUT,....they both have a 10K markup. I tell him to screw. (I have a specific order anyways and I"m sure what they have coming in is NOT the same as my "wish list"!!! lol). He also told me the price on the ones they have coming in are negotiable as well. |

This is why Chevy is cutting their dealer network in half... well that and the government is making them if they want the extra 5 billion in stimulus. It wont be long before those guys are getting the big mushroom stamp from Chevy for being retards!

I spoke to a sales manager who explained that they wouldn't dare go above MSRP.
He said when the Challenger SRT8 came out, Dodge dealers were tacking on ridiculous amounts of money and pissed off a bunch of loyal customers. It can cripple a business. And the guys that bought the SRT8's.. are really stuck cause they want to trade them for Camaros and can't suffer the loss.. the financial loss that is!!

Just across the state line from me in Olive Branch, Mississippi at All-Star Chevrolet, they received their dealer V6. It was uncovered on May 6th for the unveiling and sold that day. Next to the GM window sticker was a little dealer sticker that said "dealer market adjustment - $7000.00". The woman that bought it paid the dealer adjusted price and then gave them permission to keep it and drive it in the "Mayfest" car parade the following weekend.
Not only will people pay it but they will also let someone else drive it for a weekend after it is paid for. Whatever...not me.
