not surprising. You are in buff NY, summer is ending, I would simply wait to buy a new one and order exactly what I wanted, it's yellow which might not be a high demand color and you have put on custom exhaust which may be a turnoff to some who may be wondering what else you did to the car or how hard you have driven it. Also getting financing is much easier through the dealer than third party for a used high price car. As soon as you drove it off the lot you lost 5K easy.

Not snowing yet here in Buffalo, but it did get down into the 40's last night. I am not ordering mine until late November. I feel we are going to have a bad winter, so I would be driving her until April or May. Oh well, at least I can go out to the garage after I get her and look at her. Man, I can't wait to order. Oh, btw, before you ask me, I want IOM...not yellow, but your car does look HOT. |

This is what you need to think about. Would YOU have bought one for a couple thousand less than the dealer wanted and it be used or would you spend the little bit extra to have it brand new with easier financing, no miles, built for you??? You will have to lower your price if you are gonna sell it. A lot more dealerships are allowing supplier and employee pricing now which means someone can get a lot more car for less than you are asking. Take it from me I have bought and sold over 90 cars and trucks in my day and that is the way it is.

As stated in your for sale post, if it was a M6, I'd be all over it. I love the RS delete yellow SS's.
Personally, I happen to like yellow Camaros, but as another member posted it is probably the color and the fact that it is an automatic that is hurting your resale.

How was is 37k to start with, my 2SS/RS with sunroof was under 38k out the door and msrp was 36 something. Yours is a 2ss non rs non sunroof and the auto isn't that much of an option, did you pay more than msrp. That doesn't really matter, i didn't read this whole post but if the oonly place you listed it was here well that part of your problem. Did you try craigslist autotrader and other avenues?

alot of the people here have already ordered or ordering and have very specific options chosen, if yours doesnt hit home with them they wont buy... this is not a car you go into a showroom and ask what colors they got and choose one...

IF you had the RS option I would buy it. That is a good price.

I can't sell my car for what I think I should be getting
Not surprisingly, not many people can.
Think about it...

The best option for that car is to locate someone that can bring it to the auction for you. In alot of cases auctions are still bringing close to or above MSRP as dealers are buying them to have in inventory just to draw people into thier dealerships. Obviously the mark the car up and want to sell it - but they are using it more as an advertizing tool than anything.
Unfortunately although the demand for these cars is not dropping, reselling is becoming more difficult. Previously you can demand MSRP or above and get it the day you listed the car for sale but now most people can get the new ones at MSRP or better, they can order and get a car in as little as 5-6 weeks and most people would rather just get a new car for the $2k difference. eBay is a very good judge of the car market - the inventory available of 2010 Camaro has gone from 30-50 cars to 166 available today. If you check the closed auctions you will see that most are not selling. |

Why are you selling?? I think the mods on it are whats keeping it from selling. When you mod a car to you taste no matter how trivial, plan on making it yours forever
For some people who live in states like I do AZ, we don't have to pay sales tax AGAIN when we bring it into the state if it has been previously titled. It is appealing for people who live in those states for sure

I also can't see how it being an automatic is hurting the sale. I would think there is more demand for the auto, mabe not to enthusiast, but to the general population. Does anyone have the stats on which one has sold more, the auto or manual? |

I would, and I have. But I've also got to be honest, the 2010 mustang is giving up 120 horsepower to the Camaro. I'd rather buy a used 2010 Camaro with a couple thousand miles on it than a brand spanking new Mustang.
