Looks like Im going to need to buy 4 new tires... If i wanted to do a square set up what size do you guys suggest?

they don't need to be square... the rear rims are wider so you might want to stay staggered. when I order new rims, I get the same width so I can be square. It's not as cool, but I can rotate tires.
there are not many choices in 21" tires. I think Nitto, Hankook and a few others make some lesser expensive tires but they're a little smaller diameter. what brand of tires do you have? They usually sell a "matched" front/rear diameter. So you can probably pick which tires you want to keep and buy the matched tires to match... that will fix the problem. for example... Nitto Invo is available in 245/35-21, 285/30-21. these tires are the same diameter. So you can put the 245's up front and the 285's at the rear. so if you switch to the 285/30-21 in the rear, you'll be good. my car came with factory 21" wheels and I'll probably switch to this tire size because the tires are half the cost. these tires are about 1 inch shorter than the stock tires. so the speedo might be off a bit but for $1000 savings I'll deal with it. |
