Polishing carbon fiber hood insert

Is it safe to polish my carbon fiber hood insert with a porter cable? There are swirls and imperfections on there I'd like to get rid of. Thanks!

Yes. You can polish anything with clearcoat on it.

Yes. I did mine this past week and had a water spot that would not come off no matter what I did until I use my porter cable with Adams orange pad and polish. Looks perfect now.
