Borla Axle back installing
Hi
I purchased a complete Borla Atak exhaust system and had it installed at the shop. Now, I want to revert back to the original axle back only. Does this require cutting the current exhaust and welding the original back in place? Also, if I decide later on to reinstall the Borla Atak, is that possible without damaging the exhaust or the axle back?" Camaro 13 SS |

I'm not sure it's possible. Well I know anything is possible but I mean easily possible and easily reversible. I think the complete Borla exhaust kit is a larger diameter tubing than the factory exhaust. If that's correct, then the factory axle back won't connect to the Borla exhaust system without resizing the Borla tubing. And then if you do this, the Atak axle back wouldn't be able to be reattached.

An axle back for the original exhaust will be 2.5 inch. If your new Borla exhaust is 2.5 inch, the axle back portion could unbolt and allow you to bolt up your old axle back. Step 1 is jacking the car up and measuring the pipes and looking to see if it is bolted in or welded in. It being welded is not a show stopper if you have a reciprocating saw.
