Engine Mods For 1LE?
I have a 2013 1LE and I'm curious what engine mods you guys recommend. Nothing too expensive, like a supercharger lol. I don't have $8k to spend on a whipple supercharger lol.
Previous owner already replaced the intake and exhaust (even though I might redo the exhaust), so now I'm looking into what engine mods I could do. |

I've done the basic bolt ons ADM race intake, Vmax ported TB, Pfadt Long tube headers with high flow cats, and a resonated x (to keep things civilized) into the factory NPP, all tuned by Jeremy Formato. I put down 432HP and 422TQ on a DynoJet. She runs great and is alot of fun but i want more. Its inevitable... LoL
You could add an UDP for a few more but I'll do that when the Heads and Can get done... Sent from my QTAQZ3 using Tapatalk

I've done headers, CAI intake, and cam + valve train. I gained 140whp for $3500 (parts, install and tune)

I suggest contacting one of the many helpful vendors on this forum for the best upgrades per dollar spent.
With that being said....heads + cam = win! Nick C.

You can call Tyler at JDP and get it all done. They got most of my money for the project. Great guy and company to deal with.

Yes to cam and heads.
I'm at the point of doing heads next as I've done to other bolt-ons & cam and I'm setting at 474rwhp. Good heads should easily put me in the 510+ range......... With saying that I'm pretty happy with the set-up as it is.

I have done the following at a very reasonable cost:
AFR Shorty headers (purchased used here on C5) Solo HF cats (purchased used here on C5) Bo White Ported TB. CAI with APEX scoop. Chassis Dyno pull (no tune!) Resulted at 415hp and 398 torque. I have Doug Thorley Tri-Y headers and catless pipes in the shop to replace the AFR and Solo parts this winter. Then will get a Dyno tune. But very happy with my choice of bolt on upgrades to date. |

JPSS LS7 with a Z/28 Light Suspension would make a nice package. Then we gut the interior, add a cage, drysump, fire suppression system, Forgeline GA3R 19x11 and 19x11.5 with 315/30/19 A6s.
What do you think? |
