Just as an observation don't the rear quarters on the black car look different than the ones on the white car and the camo car pictured earlier? Or are my eyes deceiving me?
There have been whispers (WHISPERS, mind you - nothing remotely close to official confermation) that there will be more than one grille for this car.....

And you nailed it!! It's really amazing how much difference a color can have on what you see/don't see - and the beauty is it's totally individual.

Apparently, Black does a better job at hiding aspects of the car than white!

It's probably what they would have done...but the main reason for no cap on the top of the fender we're being told is crash-standards, and safety ratings. So...body color or shiny, pretty concept cap - it wouldn't change a saftey rating.

I think for the gas cap there should be a compromise: on the fender-top but passenger side rather than driver's. I can't imagine it would make THAT much of a difference to move the filler door up a few inches and orient it a different direction...

But frankly I couldn't care less where it's at...if I decide I want a better door I'll just do it aftermarket.

You guys are hilarious!!!

Gas cap is up top!!!! NO!!! IT's on the side! Seriously, both of those pictures make it look like there's a gas cap. I pray it's up top...and that pic really makes it look that way.

But, that side pic would make more sense...and why, you might ask? Well...look at this pic here.

See how the gas cap is further forward? And this pic?

It's further back...to where it almost makes the gas cap look like it'll be placed right in the center of the trunk lid line (side line of the trunk).

What do ya'll think? Is that gas cap pushed too far back on the black PREPRO to conflict w/ the trunk?

i know. thats why i dont like the crash test standards. i just wanted to see what the responce would be to that. hopefully, seeing as the filler door is on the right side (still hoping for concept style one, but i doubt it), hopefully, they will give us a choice. that would be really cool. th ink i would go with shiny, pretty concept cap (and if they do that, they should put on the option sheet "shiny, pretty concept cap" with a little check box by it. i would die laughing)

I think that might be an optical illusion from the black paint and terrible photos...maybe?

could it also be that white thing in the back window reflecting off the fender, to make it look like somethig is there? but then again, that doesnt explain the one tahst visible from the front shot, OH dunno. really, i dont care, i just like talking about it

Hey talking about the safety part of it I saw an Audi TT and it had the top mounted gas cap on the passenger side. Almost looked the same but on the other side. So I dont think the safety deal is the reason.

P.S. Bigfoot OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I see it now!!!!!!!!!!!1

Yeah there are Lambos with it on the top too.

But if I have my choice between Lambo prices w/ a top gas cap or Mustang prices w/o...I'll take the stang pricing.

I think that it may be on there and then again I think it could just be a reflection of light... I too noticed that this car was wider around the hips. Any one else? She just has a wierd shape...
