Hard wire Cop Radar?

Anyone know how to hard wire a x50 8500 passport cop radar to the fuse box?

I've looked for some post about and all the post I found the pictures won't load for me. If anyone can help me or lead in the right direction that would be great. Thanks

Are you able to use a wire tap to the mirror? I did that in my 12 SS and 13 ZL1.

Youcan just buy a wire from southern car parts (think thats their name) and it plugs into your mirror wiring harness

get this and route it through the headliner then through the pillar and into fusebox

I could've sworn I read something about this not working with the newer style frameless mirrors, such as a 13 ZL1. Or maybe it was just that you had to turn it on/off manually, as opposed to if you wired it to something like the radio fuse. I'm not very tech savvy, but was something I had done a little research on a few months ago. Did I misunderstand something?

You can tap into the mirror on the frameless but you have to manually power on/off the mirror. I had a smart radar so it didn't bother me so much since I had the controller near my shifter so didn't have to reach over as much.

I've sense switched to an Escort 9500ci which is hard wired to the fuse panel

]If I can do it, you can do it. No wire cutting nor splicing. There is a cover on the stem, just pull that off, and stick the wire tap pin into the back of the connector on the
where the wires go into. Red with red and black with black. Very simple install. On the 12 and earlier, will power on and off with the car. Do a search for mirror tap on the forum or hard wire to mirror. Also mirror tap has instructions. Trust me it's so simple and clean

You can also look at blend mount kit to mount the radar under your mirror instead of the windshield. Trust me.
