Let's all take this view of the match up. The average miles per hour in the States is 22. The average street is considered bumpy . My ZL1 literally drives like a Town Car in these conditions. The ZL1 is easier to drive than my 2011 SS. I rented a new Shelby when traveling. The ergonomics of that car were not nearly as friendly as the Camaro. The fit and finish was pretty weak. The ride in the Shelby was not anywhere close to comfortable, it took bumps in a jarring mess. I could have cracked a tooth on one road. To drive fast, the car must not bother you over bumps at any speed.

Someone asked where my dumps let out, they let out just aft of the tubular headers through twin y pipes that open on a toggle.

As far as stealth; I have the only silver 03 cobra with a huge cowl hood, flat black roof, trunk top and most of the hood too. Sadly, I cant really sneak up on anybody. That and my bov's are right in the grill

WOW!!! Which rental car place is renting new Shelby's?

I cant think of the last time my rental car had a stick.

So the fit and finish was weak as was the ergonomics and ride, did it have Recaro's and did you try out the softer suspension settings?

Try one of the red cars.

[QUOTE=Fenderaddict2;5213973]And what if they both had the same suspension? Silly argument.

In any case, if we are looking for a domestic track star forget either the ZL1 or GT500 and buy yourself one of these.

Also IMHO the Mustang is just an ugly car!
In a site as big as C5's there must be a few member with loose fasteners. Thankfully posts like this and "the Shelby isn't a factory car" readily help us identify them.

I'm surprised you can see them with all the Mustang fanboys stitting around here measuring their dongs.

There are no doubt Mustangs with Chevy Small Block V8 engines in them around, some people have felt the need for that swap. In fact i did a youtube search LS1 Mustang and got 14,300 videos (though how many of these are duplicates or videos of the same car I don't know). LS6 Mustang got 2,590 results, LS2 3,650,etc..... though when I look for a mod motor in a Camaro or a Ford motor in a Camaro I can't find any of those videos.

Not saying that what the person posted about the shops stating the Chevy motor being more dependable or not is true. Simply pointing out that there are facts to back up his claim and that is that there are tons of Chevy powered Mustangs. Which is impressive because a Ford fan would NEVER EVER admit to a Chevy product being better unless its worlds better (ie not even close).

It's the overhead cams.

I've heard they are more efficient. I don't see how with more rotating items and chains.

I don't know but if you have to work on it I go pushrod every time.

On a more serious note, working on the cams on a OHC engine is generally easier then working on the cam in a OHV engine.
