Dang I ran open headers today and it's too loud and that's a lot coming from me lol. I hope the JBA Catback is a lot quieter

I was going to say idler pulley but it seems to be louder toward the rear. That has to be(hopefully) an exhaust leak or loose spark plug. A stethoscope might help pinpoint it better. For your sake I hope it's not a valvetrain issue.

exhaust leak could cause this sound? I think its 100% valve train for sure but the weird part is it went away after driving it.

try removing belt then run for a bit, that would eliminate water pump, power steer & idler, don't let get too hot though. Also air cond belts can sound metallic like squeak when they are worn as mind did.

Sounds like a lifter, but it's certainly not your typical lifter noise that you'd hear.

No that's not a lifter air is getting out somewhere. It sounds like compressed air to me, like when you blow on a blade of grass through your hands. But I might be wrong could be a valve spring, broken rocker arm? I still think it's air escaping somewhere.

It certainly could be. I'd check the spark plugs. Doesnt sound like an exhaust leak to me. It does sound similar to when I have a spark plug that's leakinb on one of these big recips.

Cleared code ran it again and before going in the house I read a pending 0305 code. No cel yet but it's Cylinder5 misfire. That's exactly where the chirping was the other day.

I had a cam failure a few months ago with similar noises. I'd put my money on a lifter/cam failure.
